I wish my photography skills were up to snuff because I am not doing justice to this birthday cake... Besides being super delish, it was beautiful. The middle layers are violet and blue which barely shows through in these photos. Anyway, it was also super easy to make:
2 boxes of Trader Joes's chocolate cake mix ( makes 4 layers, so I just wrapped up one and threw it in the freezer)
1 giant bowl of frosting ( Martha Stewart's website - Buttercream Frosting recipe)
some food coloring
So now it begins, 'the terrible twos'! All sorts of toddler mayhem and memorable moments to come : )
